"I can’t say enough bad things about State Farm. Everyone is all smiles unit you have a claim. In my case, water damage. I’ve not been able to get an adjuster to call me back for over a month so I can get payment for coverage I have(literally dozens of calls and emails and not a single response in 6 weeks). The agent’s office is apparently unwilling or unable to affect any action on their end as well. One person here was friendly about it and said they would try, the other pretty dismissive bordering on rude. What do I have to complain about with my unusable basement going on 2 months…?! I have to ask what’s the point in having coverage if nobody will settle the claim when the time comes? “Like a good neighbor, state Farm won’t call you back” should be their slogan. I will never use them again. If you are in this situation, file a complaint with your insurance commissioner, I have."

"I have been a State Farm customer for over 35 years. I was recently notified that I’m being dropped as a customer based on my number of claims. I was never notified of a threshold risk in addition to not knowing a homeowners claim (approved or denied) is a major negative to your status with State Farm. This most recent homeowners claim was denied btw. If this agency would have notified me of this risk regarding my claims…I would have easily paid out of pocket costs for my claims. I couldn’t be more displeased with this agency and their lack of guidance through this experience. In fact…I asked to talk to Frank Steward about my circumstance and he never called me back. I would not recommend this agency. It was in your hands to call me back. No excuse for not following up."

"Our previous State Farm agent Wendy Peterson retired and we were transferred to Frank Steward. I decided to take this transition to shop the competition which I did. There were a few companies that were less money. I also met with Frank. Local guy, very professional and friendly. I felt bad because shortly after switching to his office I had windshield damage and then for first time ever hail damage to both our cars! But here’s to me the main thing. Each time we’ve had to file a claim State Farm makes it easy, painless and a real breeze. The windshield and hail damage were no exception. Would other companies do as well? Maybe but we’ve had experience with another company when a guy hit my wife’s parked car, left his insurance information and we had to deal with his company. Finally had the work done but it wasn’t an easy process. Long review but I hope it’s helpful. I’m no longer shopping."
